Garden coaching
Your garden is new? Or do you want to finally get a grip on things? You need support planning, staying motivated and clear instructions? Then my individual garden coaching is quite right for you. We create a garden concept based on our conversations and your possibilities. I help from afar with clear structure (when do you do what?) and lots of experience, as well as a sustainable garden concept based on my scientific background.
No matter if you have a balcony garden, a cozy backyard garden, an allotment or even a small farm collective, I'll coach anyone who wishes to really change their garden to work with nature rather than against it. Let's talk.
Monthly package: Kate's Gardens
I take a close look at your garden from photos and videos you send me to little by little create a concept for your garden. I ensure we keep an eye on what's possible in the same garden year and what has to be planned and prepared over the longer run. You'll know what to do when and why in your garden without it being a drag. If your family wants to join in, I'll have garden tasks for each of you. You get clear instructions and I am at your side to answer questions.
Your choice of:
- 30 minutes video call per week
- written communication with photos and videos
I'll keep an eye on your tasks and assign you gardening work, so you always know what's on top of your todo list and how to spend your limited garden time. We'll get this done together!
Important: you get individual coaching not some pre-written bed plan or season planner. Of course, I can't guarantee that everything always works out as planned. But that's not what a natural, sustainable garden is about at the core. A resilient garden is so diverse that it won't matter when something doesn't go as planned.
Cost: 200 EUR/month
For more comprehensive projects where this would never be enough time, I'll happily create a fitting package for you. A balcony garden is quite different from a 2,000 square meter plot for self-sufficiency. This would be best discussed in a short introductory meeting (can be in writing).
Please note: you can cancel to the end of the month at any point. If I have to reschedule anything or delays happen on my end, we can catch up together or I can refund the time I missed out on--your choice.
Single consultation
Of course, I am also available for 1:1 consultations without a package. Those are billed in 15-minute increments and are especially suited to those who already have some experience and want to ask specific questions, add resiliency to their garden or simply need new gardening motivation. After the call, I'll summarize the most important tips for you.
Cost: 80 EUR per 45 minutes, 25 EUR per started quarter of an hour

I am happily available for talks about the following topics:
- Introduction to regenerative gardening
- Self-sufficiency in the garden
- Biodiverse gardens
- Small gardens with much in them (balcony, company grounds, kindergarten)
- Regenerative agriculture: can it feed humanity?
