057 Three things, three days

written by Kate on in all home year02

There are three things I needed to get done in one day to avoid wasting food, but my food processor broke, and things fell apart. Nonetheless, I canned potatoes, broke apart a whole chicken, and got my kombucha done. A day with three tasks turned into three days.

The storm blew off my garden house roof just the teensiest tiniest bit. I really am impressed how much is still left standing after THAT storm. Um… but we’ve got to fix it.

050 Snowed in

written by Kate on in all home year01

Within a few days, winter arrived early and in full force. We went from winter wonderland to snowed in. I built a cart to cover and mulch my beds, but then the snow came. We went for long walks in the winter wonderland before the snow storm snowed us in–and I couldn’t even get to class.

After playing catch-up for weeks, I finally get to do some of the things I want to get to. The first snow falls in the forest outside, and I make the best of being stuck indoors–and actually get some things done.
